Recorded in October 12 to November 11, 1965 and released in December 3, 1965, Rubber Soul is the sixth studio album after Help! and before Revolver. It was one of the albums that were considered artistic by critics wich made it highly favourable by others being at the top of the charts at the time. The genres in the album are folk rock, rock, soul and pop. Some may notice the first time they have used a few instruments that continued to go on for 2 albums (Revolver and Sgt. Pepper) such as the sitar, harmonium and fuzz bass that implies this album might be the first time they went for a physedelic theme. Thus, this is considered as one of the influential Beatle albums.

In the songs there are different themes like an affair in Nowegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown), relationship problems in the songs I'm Looking Through You and Think For Yourself(?) to jealousy in Girl.
