Backstory

Kiki's mother was an artist while her dad would profit off of her art and pretend he made it. Later on, her mother began to act mental since she has bipolar. Her father began to avoid her more and sometimes he'd hit her mother. Kiki was there to watch them. her mother hits her more than her father since she thought she was a fault. when kiki was in her teenage years her mother "walked out of the door". that line means that she left home. she drowned herself. the last words kiki heard her say was that she loved her in a voice that sounded like it was wrapped in regret.
the news picked up on her mother's death and the father started to get a drug and alcohol routine. when kiki was 16 she picked up on it and started to do it shes still like this nowadays

im destroyed by obsessions weighing on me
the drugs the drinks yeah of course i can fuckin see
i can also see my high whenever im on it and its oh so bright
to block out the sight that makes me see you once more
your eyes when i first saw you, you were alright

you pushed me down a million times until i got used to it
the house was my torture chamber
the people at my college are my savior
